At Leaning Church Vineyard, we love to exceed your expectations!

NEWS: Leaning Church Vineyard has just been listed for sale. This premium Tasmanian vineyard, cellardoor, tastings and function centre offers a fabulous lifestyle and business opportunity for a couple or investor group. Contact Sarah on 0448 906021 for more information.

You might be taken aback by the way we talk about our wine at Leaning Church - in somewhat racier terms than your average wine buff. It's all because we love our wine, but we've never wanted to be wine snobs!

Many of our visitors, unburdened from the obligation to be solemn and serious about the drop they're tasting, enjoy themselves so much that they write their own descriptions. Most are far too saucy to be repeated!

The vibe at our multi-award-winning Cellar Door, Restaurant, Tastings and Functions centre is fresh, fun and funky - and that's the way we like it! Meet vineyard owners Sarah and Mark Hirst, taste our premium cool-climate wine and graze on Tasmania's best ingredients prepared with love...all while absorbing the peace and tranquility in our patch of paradise.

And introducing our new food offering: "Knives and Forks are Optional" at Leaning Church Vineyard. We love our food. We love to immerse ourselves in home-grown fresh produce. And we love to feel our food. That's why our new menu at Leaning Church Vineyard is all about stimulating your senses. We want you to touch, see, smell, hear and taste - with or without knives and forks!

We deliver simple but real, fresh and tasty food direct to your table - some straight from the rich soils of our vineyard where our vegie garden is ripening produce for your plates. And, of course, all matched to our award-winning Leaning Church Vineyard wines...

Leaning Church Vineyard, formerly Lalla Gully, nestles in a spectacular natural amphitheatre at the foothills of Mount Arthur. We're just twenty minutes from Launceston at Lalla on the East Tamar, on the Tamar Valley Wine route in Tasmania's stunning North East. It's a beautiful spot for the whole family:

  • A superb day out for the family, romancing couples, or groups
  • Scrumptious lunch 7-days-a-week
  • Cellardoor tastings of our premium cool-climate wines
  • Hellyers Road single malt whisky tastings and sales
  • Quirky wine descriptions - write your own!
