Beacon Fell
A very nice area to walk around & bring the family. Dogs are allowed but are to be kept on a lead because the woodland has a small deer population. There's several car parks to choose from. Free parking is available at a small & easily missed area at the south-west end of the park. There are toilets & a café on the west side of the park. Most of the paths are suitable for wheelchair users but not all of them.

Winter Hill
Glorious hike round the Winter Hill and Rivington Pike circuit.Snow made it a little marshy in areas where the ground had thawed but no trouble in walking boots. Fab views in all directions and very quiet!
