Kashmiri restaurant

Staying locally for a holiday and the family voted for Indian takeaway for Sunday dinner. I mean why not. This was close to where we were and looked well turned out. The menu looked to have a few unusual items which appealed and set the place apart.We phoned an order in for collection which took 30 minutes. There's some on street parking round the area but no dedicated parking we could see - not an issue (I think they've moved location recently and the map on the menu is out of date).I was met by a man at the door who was polite and courteous, he gave me the food and a free bottle of 1664 to boot! Many thanks.The food was really tasty and had decent portion sizes. We had a mix of vegetarian and meat dishes, I ordered a mixed tandoori (unusual for me). It was ever so good, with a pleasant lemon tang coming through from the marinade on some of the pieces.We have only had takeaway and I absolutely recommend the food. The interior of the restaurant looked clean and maintained so would expect eating in to be as good as the takeaway.

My wife and I ate here on a Wednesday afternoon and wanted a light lunch, which included their Fish Pakora starter and their Apna style Special biryani mains. We opted for the spicy (hot) level rather than mild option. The pakora was very tasty and made with good quality fish and in a light coating. The biryani which contained lamb & chicken was superb and probably the best we have had in a restaurant. It had a depth of flavour and the right level of heat for our tastes. Both items were generous in quantity and sufficient for the two of us. The service was quick, welcoming and at under £20 very good value for this authentic style of food.

Great old fashioned curry house. We are losing these places, the original types, to be replaced by posher types. To me, curries will always be better from anoriginal/old fashioned curry house.Well worth a visit. Great service and old school curries. Keep it up peeps!

the service was terrible over an hour wait for food which was then wrong and to top it all they tryed to charge us for things wd had not even hadwhen asking to speak to management they just made excuses saying he was busywhat a placestay away people wd deserve better

Food was ok but Appalling service, 3 staff who were openly arguing on the floor for the whole duration. No atmosphere. Could really do with taking some training from the Wakefield staff. Would possible order a takeaway from here but would never dine in again.

Used to be a nice venue but gone downhill .The place is dirty including the toilets and decor all look very tired. Paint peeling of the walls and janitorial items just left blocking the fire exit & for customers to see the dirty mop water near toilets. As a restaurant, they should be taking health and safety a priorityand placing these away from customers view. Not professional at all. Put me off coming again.

Amazing food and service. The lamb chops were so juicy and tender also the mains were amazing we had Karahi chicken and it was full of flavour and the right amount of spice also Nan bread was soft and puffy. Waiter were very fast and made sure everything was perfect for us. Will definitely be back

Food was fine but nothing special. When I went to pay using Meerkat meals app I was challenged in a passive aggressive manner before having the discount applied. My advice would be if you don’t want to honour discounts, don’t offer them. Last time we used this app here we were overcharged for drinks which we didn’t realise until after we had left. Giving the impression that you are primarily interested in rinsing your customers for every penny you can squeeze out of them isn’t a good look in the hospitality industry. Won’t be back with or without a discount.
