Although the classics and standard menu is more than enough to keep you coming back for more, the specials board is where you will find what really sets the Pepper Pot apart from the rest.We visited whenever we had the chance and tried everything we could.Firstly, the Sunday dinner, having arrived without a booking, the staff were very accommodating and made room for us between reservations. They were extremely attentive, kind-hearted, and welcoming.The dinner itself was compact and packed a real punch with everything home made and cooked using fresh and local ingredients. The Lamb was plentiful, juicey, and tender served with a handful of tasty roast potatoes, a large wedge of stuffing, seasonal greens, and a lone roast carrot and pig in blanket. What it lacks in size it more than makes up for in quality and taste.The Oysters were freshly caught and prepared. They tasted just like the ocean, perfectly pared with tobassco and lemon to break up the flavors mild flavour of the Oysters.The classic fish and chips.The cod was cooked with care and attention, the batter golden brown, crispy and fragrant, with the fish soft flakey and mild tasting. The Breton chicken was uncooked and pink inside. The restaurant was too noisy to have a conversation.

Welcoming and friendly staff. Top notch Italian food at reasonable prices. Cosy environment, not too crowded.

Very beautiful café with great food and drinks. Great location nearby train and bus stations. Delicious, cute, and nice! Highly recommended!

The choice was very varied, the quality of the food was excellent. The service was excellent and I would definitely go back.

Generally good. The 'full english' (£9) isnt full at all....had one sausage and one slice of bacon (see photo - can you find the good stuff??), so it's was a let down. Other dishes are good...avo smash with egg was a hit.

Tried the oat milk latte & vegan breakfast. Both were take away, because I was in a hurry. The oat milk latte was smooth in flavor and creamy in texture, the perfect blend. The vegan breakfast featured turmeric toast, avocado, tomato, and rocket. I was blown away by the fresh, flavorful, and healthy (without tasting too healthy) ingredients used. The crazy part is that I am NOT a vegan. It was so good I would give up meat to eat it everyday.

How does this restaurant have 5 stars!? After what we experienced I cannot understand the reviews for this restaurant. One of the worst experiences in a restaurant I've had. Dining room full of spider webs... Bland food... Main was served stone cold. Did the staff care about any of this? Not in the slightest. Avoid, you can get a lot more for a lot less elsewhere.

Was a bit busy so had to sit outside but there is heating and it's very well covered.Had a Sunday roast which was lovely. New updated menu is much better.Would go again.

Great lunch, spoilt for choice and an excellent selection of meals you can take away too
